Otter Rock... Oregon surf Spot

We took a ride over to Otter Rock above Newport Oregon. The waces were small at 2-3' but we had a good time and its all ways goo to get back in the water. WE had to rent a wetsuit and stopped by Ossie's surf shop. If in the Newport areas be sure to stop by.



The trail down to the beach is similar to Swamies in Encinitas Ca.

Having grown up in the sleepy surfing community of Leucadia Ca. I have just recently gotten back in contact with many of my old surfing friends. My son Brennan is down in Oceanside Ca. visiting cousins and just bought a board from a old friend who has been shaping boards for over 30 years.

Pat Quigley of Quig Stix is located in Oceanside Ca area and shapes boards for many people all over the world. From sponsored team riders to word of mouth Pat shapes boards for everyone in all sizes and configurations.

Interesting and expanding times ahead as Pat is in the works to open a new facility soon.

It doesn't get any closer to the Surf Culture than this.
